A: Beyond the Cabin is a modern rest and wellness retreat designed to help guests slow down, reconnect, and experience nature in refined comfort.
Set on two wooded acres in the mountains of Western Maryland, it features two custom-built cabins — an A-Frame and a Modern Cabin — each with private amenities like a hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge. Guests also have access to Cedar Park, our communal outdoor lounge deck nestled beneath the trees.
Q: Where is Beyond the Cabin?
A: Beyond the Cabin is located in Oakland, Maryland, just 15 minutes from Deep Creek Lake and close to local favorites like Swallow Falls State Park and Wisp Resort.
Q: How many bedrooms and bathrooms does each cabin have?
A: Each cabin includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, thoughtfully designed to combine modern luxury with a natural, restorative atmosphere.
Q: What type of beds are in each cabin?
A: Every bedroom features a premium king bed with luxury linens for a restful and elevated sleep experience.
Q: Do the cabins have private amenities?
A: Yes. Each cabin includes a private hot tub, private sauna, and cold plunge, along with a spacious outdoor lounge deck designed for relaxation beneath the trees.

A: A-Frame Cabin: 1,789+ sq ft
A: Modern Cabin: 2,386+ sq ft
Both cabins sleep 1–6 guests comfortably.
Q: When will Beyond the Cabin open?
A: We’ll begin welcoming guests in Summer 2027. The booking calendar opens in Spring 2026, giving early guests first access to reserve their preferred stay dates.
Our pre-booking event will be launching early 2026, giving VIPs exclusive early access to reserve their stay at our best available rates before bookings open to the public.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A: You may cancel anytime before July 1, 2026, and receive a full refund.
After that date, your payment converts into a credit that never expires and may be used at any time or transferred to another guest.
Q: Are pets welcome?
A: Yes, pets are welcome at Beyond the Cabin with a small pet fee applied at booking. Every cabin includes pet-friendly features such as durable flooring, easy outdoor access, and nearby trails.
Q: Are there any additional fees?
A: Yes. We do have a one-time cleaning fee of $195 per reservation and a State & transient lodging tax, which are both collected when you choose your dates after the booking calendar opens.
For guests traveling with pets, there is a one-time pet fee of $275 (maximum of 2 dogs). Please be sure to disclose your pet when booking so we can accommodate you appropriately.
